The theatrette is a very versatile space. With an excellent projector, screen and sound system it’s ideal for presentations and screenings. It’s also a great area for hands-on workshops, sharings and events of various types. The space is inclusive and welcoming for all people and is available for hire to individuals and organisations. In the Space there are opportunities for you to meet and chat with local artists and craftspeople as they create artworks in the space.

Offerings include:

  • Interpretive displays
  • Videos screening
  • Listening post

And also events such as:

  • Bush food tastings
  • Symposiums
  • Book signings
  • Launches
  • Hands-on art/craft workshops (outside of peak season)

Come in, relax and make yourself comfortable in our theatrette. You can choose to sit on the floor or on our chairs. Watch the changing videos, browse our books, listen to music and enjoy and learn about the complex sounds of the didjiridu.

A program of the screenings throughout the day will be available.

Screenings of special longer films will be held from time to time.

On the walls will be changing displays including exhibitions, information and events related.
